Examines critical decisions made by the United States in selected security and space programs, emphasizing current issues. Case studies illustrate the process by which technical, political, and economic issues are brought into the policy process; particularly, the way in which technical organizations in government, government committees, and science advisory boards interact to bring advice to senior policymakers. Some case decisions in other countries.
