Anne Harrington de Santana received her PhD from the Department of Political Science at the University of Chicago in 2010. In 2009, she was awarded the Grand Prize in the Doreen and Jim McElvany Nonproliferation Challenge for her article "Nuclear Weapons as the Currency of Power: Deconstructing the Fetishism of Force." Her research interests include deterrence theory, nuclear nonproliferation, international relations theory, critical theory, and feminist theory.
