Constraints on China's Foreign Policy

On May 4, the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center's annual Oksenberg Conference brought together a panel of distinguished China experts for an exploration of these and other key questions related to China's foreign policy. The event featured keynote speaker Thomas Christensen, former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs.
