Center on Decision-Making and Aging funds seed projects for 2006-07 academic year
The Center on Advancing Decision Making in Aging (CADMA) (CADMA) -- a multidisciplinary research effort based at CHP/PCOR -- recently announced that it has awarded seed funding for the following three research projects for the 2006-07 academic year:
- "The Benefits and Costs of Health Insurance Choice among Older Adults: The Case of Medicare Prescription Drug Plans." Led by CHP/PCOR fellow M. Kate Bundorf along with Helena Szrek, with CHP/PCOR director Alan Garber as mentor.
- "Age, Affect Valuation, and Health-Related Decision-Making." Led by Jeanne Tsai, PhD, with CHP/PCOR core faculty member Mary Goldstein as mentor.
- "Choosing Not to Choose: Ambiguity Aversion in Younger and Older Adults." Led by CHP/PCOR associate Brian Knutson along with Gregory Larkin, with Alan Garber as mentor.
The awards are for one year beginning Aug. 1, 2006. CHP/PCOR looks forward to following these research projects and providing updates on their progress.
