China's New Role in a Turbulent World
FSI Stanford, Shorenstein APARC NewsTo commemorate the legacy of Michel Oksenberg, one of the world's leading authorities on China, and the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, FSI's Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center and the Stanford China Program convened experts from the U.S. and Asia on May 8, 2009 at FSI for a workshop to examine China's evolving role in a volatile world and the future of U.S.-China relations. A first panel asked "Can China Save the Global Economy?" with leading business and academic experts. A second panel of prominent policymakers and diplomats examined another issue currently in the headlines, "The Group of Two: the Future of U.S. China Relations."
