CISAC faculty weigh benefits, concerns of U.S.-India nuclear deal
in the news: Stanford Report on March 9, 2006The nuclear cooperation agreement reached by President George W. Bush and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has raised concerns among nuclear nonproliferation experts that it could weaken the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty by granting special nuclear privlieges to India, a nation that has not signed the treaty. Interviewed by New Delhi TV and the Stanford Report, CISAC visiting professor George Bunn and CISAC consulting professor Paul Kapur discussed concerns and hopes raised by the proposed agreement.
