Diamond Draws Lessons on Rebuilding After Conflict From Iraqi Experience
Appeared in Journal of Democracy, v. 1, no. 16, January 6, 2005
CDDRL Faculty Associate, and coordinator of CDDRL's Democracy program, Larry Diamond, argues that Iraq's reconstruction is unique in many ways from other post-conflict reconstruction efforts. Nonetheless, there are certain parallels to Afghanistan and other post-conflict zones in terms of reestablishing basic state services and the restoration of civil society organizations.
