Report drafted by David Holloway involved in Obama's decision to scrap missile defense plan
in the news: The Wall Street Journal on September 17, 2009President Obama's announcement to drop a planned missile defense system in eastern Europe follows the recommendations of a recent report written in part by CISAC's David Holloway and Siegfried Hecker. The "Iran's Nuclear and Missile Potential: A Joint Threat Assessment by U.S. and Russian Technical Experts" concludes there is no immediate threat of an intermediate-range or intercontinental ballistic missile being launched by Iran. The EastWest Institute, a global think tank, published the report in May.
