Scott Sagan to discuss "Nuclear Power without Nuclear Proliferation" in Los Altos

The Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty gives all countries the right to nuclear power for peaceful purposes. However, with the spread of nuclear power comes the spread of sensitive nuclear technology that can be applied to the development of nuclear weapons. With the ever-growing demands for nuclear energy, how can we guarantee nuclear proliferation?

Sagan will discuss these issues on Wednesday, March 3, at Los Altos Youth Center, 1 N. San Antonio Rd., Los Altos, Ca. 94022.

Refreshments at 7 p.m. followed by 7:30 p.m. program.

The event is cosponsored by the World Affairs Council of Northern California, the  Silicon Valley Chapter of Nuclear Age Peace Foundation and Santa Clara County Library.
