Stanford’s Afghanistan Legal Education Project receives funding to train a future generation of lawyers

The Afghanistan Legal Education Project (ALEP) at the Stanford Law School received a $7.2 million grant from the U.S. State department to build a law degree program at the American University of Afghanistan. Erik Jensen, ALEP faculty advisor and CDDRL affiliated faculty member, was instrumental in securing this funding to help train a new generation of Afghan lawyers and to strengthen its legal institutions.
