Top Canadian Prize Goes to Stanford Scientist Lucy Shapiro for Bringing Cell Biology into Three Dimensions

Ludwig Professor of developmental biology at the School of Medicine, can add a Canada Gairdner International Award to her list of accolades. The award, which carries a $100,000 cash prize, will be announced on March 31, and formally presented in Canada in October.
