Wilkening offers strategies for bioterror defense
in the news: San Francisco Chronicle on July 23, 2004CISAC Science Director Michael May is quoted in a news report on the newly signed Project BioShield Act, which provides $5.6 billion over 10 years toward drug development and other bioterrorism defense measures. The article refers to Dean Wilkening's presentation July 21, 2004 to scholars, policymakers and industry professionals attending a seminar on "Public Policy and Biological Threats" at the University of California-San Diego. Former CISAC co-director Michael May joined Wilkening in presenting two sessions at the seminar, offered by the University of California's Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation.
