Amber Hsiao joined the CHP/PCOR staff in November 2006 as the information editor & external relations coordinator. She produces the Centers' Quarterly Update newsletter, writes and promotes press releases about notable research results, responds to media inquiries, and serves as a liaison with CHP/PCOR affiliates and the public.

Prior to CHP/PCOR, she served as an intern at the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, where she conducted research for the Women's Health Policy program area and produced KaiserEDU.org educational resources for students of health policy. She received a BA in May of 2006, with degrees in Mass Communications and Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. She has worked for various publications, including the Daily Californian and AsianWeek newspaper, in addition to nonprofit organizations, such as the Greenlining Institute and the National Writing Project.
