Research Interests
developing best practices for patient safety; mortality rates in California; the decline of mortality in the second half of the 20th century.
Amy Ku is a member of the research staff at CHP/PCOR and the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). At CHP/PCOR she is working on the project, "Developing Best Practices for Patient Safety." At NBER she is working on the projects "California Mortality" and "The Decline of Mortality in the Second Half of the 20th Century." Before joining CHP/PCOR she worked on data management and reporting for M-Care, an HMO that is part of the University of Michigan Health System. She received a master's degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan, and a BSc degree in management from Lancaster University, in the United Kingdom.
