understanding the impact of culture on the health status of immigrant communities; patient safety and the culture of safety

Arnulfo Medina served as intervention manager for the "Improving Patient Safety Culture and Outcomes in Health Care" project, until leaving CHP/PCOR in July 2005. In his previous experience as a research assistant, he has worked on a large-scale epidemiological study on the method of transmission of Helicobacter pylori bacteria in humans, and a longitudinal clinical study to determine the prevalence of congenital human cytomegalovirus infection in newborns.
