Irene Bryant received a BA in East Asian languages and literatures from Smith College and an MA in Japanese studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.  She has experience working in compliance, venture capital, and as a coordinator for international relations in Japan. She speaks Mandarin, Japanese, and some Taiwanese.
