
Jane Esberg was the Assistant to CISAC's Co-Director, Scott Sagan until 2011. She graduated from Stanford in 2009 with a BA in International Relations and Honors in International Security Studies awarded through the CISAC Honors program. Prior to starting work at CISAC, she conducted a research and service project in the Tambopata region of the Peruvian Amazon on agricultural sustainability. As an undergraduate, Esberg researched for CISAC's Lynn Eden, Professor Kenneth A. Schultz, CISAC Homeland Security Fellow Jacob Shapiro, and PhD candidate Luke Condra. She also received a Stanford in Government Fellowship to work with the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London, in the Transnational Threats and Political Risks division. She has studied abroad at Oxford University and in Santiago, Chile, where she conducted research for use in her thesis.
