Research Interests
modeling disability, costs and other outcomes in rheumatoid arthritis


Kaleb Michaud is a CHP/PCOR trainee participating in the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's Fellowship in Health Care Research and Policy. His research focuses on modeling disability, costs and other outcomes in rheumatoid arthritis. Most recently, he has published research on the incidence of lymphoma, tuberculosis and heart failure in rheumatoid arthritis patients, through work at the National Databank for Rheumatic Diseases, based at the Arthritis Research Center Foundation in Wichita, Kansas. He previously served as senior analyst and statistician at the National Databank, where he helped manage data from more than 40,000 patients using Stata software. He is a member of the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals and the American Physical Society. In 2003, he was awarded a fellowship from the Brystol-Myers-Squibb/Arthritis Research Center Foundation, and in 2001 he received the James W. Lyons Award for Service at Stanford University. He received a BS in physics and astronomy from the University of Rochester and an MS in physics from Stanford. He is currently pursuing a PhD in physics, also at Stanford.
