Neeley Main graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with an MA in public and international affairs, focusing on European Union enlargement and the rise of transnational organized crime. She has lived in a number of European and Asian countries, and in several U.S. states. Prior to joining Shorenstein APARC as program coordinator, she organized programs and conferences for the European Union Center at the University of Pittsburgh and the World Affairs Council of Northern California in San Francisco.
