Research Interests
Crisis and opportunity: bureaucratic autonomy and homeland security reorganization
Patrick Soren Roberts was a 2005-2006 visiting fellow at Stanford University's Center for International Security and Cooperation, and he is an assistant professor of public policy and administration at Virginia Tech. His research focuses on bureaucratic autonomy and homeland security agencies. He is also investigating how young people develop religiously tolerant and intolerant attitudes. Patrick has been a fellow at the American Political Science Association's Centennial Center in Washington, DC and has been a reporter for the Associated Press. His Ph.D. is in government from the University of Virginia
