Research Interests
maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS prevention, urban-rural disparities in healthcare for China's elderly, and financial assistance programs for poor families


Dr. Fang received a PhD in demography from Peking University and a Master of Medicine from Tongji Medical College, located in Wuhan city, in China. At Tongji Medical College, he serves as associate professor of healthcare management, director of the school's Health Management division, and associate director of its Injury Control Institute. For the China-U.S. Health and Aging Research Training Program, he is studying urban/rural disparities in the quality and accessibility of healthcare services for China's elderly. He has previously conducted and published research in China on maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS prevention, and financial assistance programs for poor families.
