In September 2011, Samantha Maskey joined CDDRL as an Administrative Associate to provide administrative and research support for FSI Senior Fellows, Francis Fukuyama and Stephen Stedman.
Before joining CDDRL, Samantha received her Master’s degree in 2011 from the London School of Economics in London, UK where she undertook a one-year program in Global Politics. In part of completing her degree, Samantha wrote her dissertation on ‘hybrid’ democratic regimes and the prospects of consolidating democracy in Latin America.
Samantha holds a B.A. in Political Economies of Industrial Societies from the University of California Berkeley, having concentrated her studies on Global Democracy and Human Rights. While completing her undergraduate studies she worked as a program assistant at UC Berkeley’s Institute of International Studies and completed internships at the Australian Trade Commission and San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Samantha has previously lived in London and Kathmandu, and is fluent in Spanish, Hindi and Nepalese.
