Ashley Dean is the Communications & External Affairs Manager for Stanford University's Center on Food Security and the Environment. She has worked in the environmental management and communications field for close to ten years, primarily in the academic and non-profit sector. She has additional professional experience in expedition management and media relations, and was the executive director for an environmental and outdoor education, after-school program in San Francisco.
Ashley holds a master of Environmental Science and Management with a focus in Eco-Entrepreneurship from the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, University of California, Santa Barbara, and a bachelor of arts in Human Biology from Stanford University. Prior to attending Bren, she worked four and a half years as the Assistant Director for Public Affairs and Research Program Manager at Stanford University's former Center for Environmental Science and Policy at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies.
