She has served as advisor for the annual Index of Silicon Valley. Currently, she is co-authoring a book on the drivers and global implications of the rise of China’s internet industry.

She also teaches in executive education courses and co-directs an executive education program for international policy makers at Stanford, “Leading Innovative and Entrepreneurial Regions in the Global Economy.”
A Silicon Valley native, Hancock is active in the life of the community. Marguerite has established and directed community programs, including a summer adventure and leadership camp for teenage girls in the Sierra mountains and an annual international art exhibit now in its 24th year which attracts more than 10,000 people in 5 days. For her role as a leader, Hancock is featured in the book, Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter (Harper Business, 2010).
