Marilie Coetsee assisted Associate Director for Research Lynn Eden and Senior Fellow Martha Crenshaw with research and administrative duties until July 2012. Marilie graduated from Stanford in 2010 with a MA in Philosophy, BA Joint Major in Religious Studies and Philosophy, and Minor in Political Science. At Stanford, Marilie did research for Joshua Cohen, Rob Reich, and KALW's "Philosophy Talk" radio show. She also served as Editor in Chief of Stanford's undergraduate philosophy journal, The Dualist, and as coordinator for the Stanford Association for International Development's 2006 conference on education.
