Garber and Fuchs join top economists in letter to Congressional leadership about cost control measures necessary in health reform
CHP/PCOR in the newsStanford Health Policy Director Alan Garber and core faculty member Victor Fuchs joined over two dozen economists in a letter to Senator Harry Reid. The economists-- including four Nobel Laureates-- laid out four elements in the current draft bill that they identified as "crucial to health reform." These include (1) deficit neutrality, (2) an excise tax on high insurance premiums, (3) an independent Medicare commission and (4) delivery system reform.
