Reid Pauly is the research assistant to Professor Scott Sagan at CISAC. Reid graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University in 2010 with a BA in History and Government. His honors thesis, "Containing the Atom: Paul Nitze and the Tradition of Non-Use of Nuclear Weapons," was awarded the Janice N. and Milton J. Esman Prize for Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship at Cornell. His thesis has also won prizes from the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Virginia Military Institute.

Prior to joining CISAC, Reid was a research assistant at the Ploughshares Fund in Washington, D.C. He has also interned at the Truman National Security Project, Wellford Energy Advisors, and the U.S. House of Representatives. Reid was also a member of the Varsity Heavyweight Crew Team at Cornell University.
