Colonel Takehiro Morita of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force was a visiting fellow in 2008-2009. Prior to arriving at CISAC, he served as Assistant to the Chief of Defense Plans and Policy Section, Air Staff Office, Tokyo. Other previous assignments include service in the Air Defense Command (as a Commander of the PATRIOT Missile Squadron), the Air Materiel Command, the Joint Staff Office and the Internal Bureau of Defense Agency. He received an MA from the University of Tsukuba. His research focuses on the Japan-U.S. security relationship.
