Zhila Emadi is the assistant to the CISAC Associate Director, Elizabeth Gardner, and the CISAC communications associate.

She completed her Master of Arts in 2010 in International Policy at the Monterey Institute of International Studies and earned a graduate certificate in Non-Proliferation Studies. She has a particular interest in Middle Eastern politics and security issues. While a graduate student, Zhila worked as a research assistant for the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, writing and editing for the Nuclear Threat Initiative.  Prior to graduate school, she was an analyst with the University of California's Education Abroad Program. Zhila holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations from UC Davis and participated in the UC in DC internship program and a year-long study abroad in Bordeaux, France.
