This report is the result of two international conferences on protecting nuclear materials from theft and sabotage. One conference was held at Stanford University by the Center for International Peace and Arms Control with help from the Center for Global Research at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the Center for Nonproliferation
Studies at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. This conference dealt with fissile material for peaceful purposes around the world.
