This project studies whether and how people with chronic medical conditions use the Internet to search for healthcare information. After surveying approximately 9,000 people, the project aims to analyze the data to measure the extent to which people with and without chronic conditions use the Internet and e-mail, the ways they use these tools, and the impact that Internet use has had on their health care.
