Perry urges U.S. leadership in reducing nuclear terror threat
SIIS Senior Fellow William J. Perry warned that the United States is headed toward the "catastrophe" of terrorists using a nuclear bomb to attack an American city, unless the nation takes preventive measures. Speaking at the second annual summit of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, the former defense secretary urged U.S. leadership through its nuclear policy and expansion of the Nunn-Lugar Cooperative Threat Reduction program.
