Martha Crenshaw briefs FBI counterintelligence group about her terrorist mapping project

Senior Fellow Martha Crenshaw recently addressed a FBI counterintelligence committee about her Stanford project to map militant organizations. Her research identifies patterns in the evolution of militant organizations in specific conflict theatres while studying the causes and consequences of their growth.



John and Jackie Lewis Fund for Asia research now accepting applications

John Lewis, one of the world's renowned scholars on East Asia and a co-founder of CISAC, has generously set up a fund to support future thinkers working on issues in Asia. The John and Jackie Lewis Fund to Support Research on Asia will provide up to $1,000 to assist in areas such as (but not limited to) travel for research or conference attendance. FSI's Karl Eikenberry and CISAC's Anja Manuel launched the WorldAffairs 2012 Conference on March 30, in a panel on South Asia. The panel, titled "The End of War in Afghanistan: A Turning Point in US Foreign Policy" featured Eikenberry as a keynote speaker and was moderated by Manuel. A video of the talk is available.
